1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the GymDays mobile application ("App"), a Mandooist app operated by Jason Reeve ("we", "us", "our"), based in Australia.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The service
GymDays is a gym workout logger. It keeps your plans, your workouts and their sets, weights and reps, rest timers, records and body stats, stored on your device. An account is optional and adds backup and sync across your phones. You can connect Health Connect, Apple Health and Strava, and link your training to Stridefall, each only if you choose to. Training, cloud backup and sync are free. GymDays Plus is an optional paid extra (section 6).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use the App.
4. Your health and safety
GymDays is a logbook and a planning tool. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach. Plans, suggested weights and reps, progression, rest times, recovery indicators, heart rate zones and tips are general guides worked out from what you enter. They may not suit your body, your injuries or your health. Talk to a health professional before you start or change a training program, especially if you are unwell, injured, pregnant or returning from a break, and stop if something hurts or feels wrong.
Lifting carries a risk of injury. You train at your own risk, and you are responsible for your technique, your equipment and your surroundings. Heart rate figures come from your watch and your phone's health app and are not a medical measurement.
5. Your content and your data
Your plans, workouts, notes, pictures and videos remain yours. They are stored on your device, and are backed up to your Mandooist account only if you sign in. You are responsible for keeping your own copy with the file backup or the CSV export, and for what you choose to share, including workouts you send to Strava or share as a card or a plan. Make sure you have the right to share a picture or video before you add it.
6. GymDays Plus
Plus adds muscle recovery, the plan builder and extra share card styles. It is offered as a yearly subscription or as a one time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App in your currency before you buy. The purchase is made with your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
A yearly subscription renews each year unless you turn it off in your store account at least a day before it renews. You manage and cancel it there, and a refund is a matter for the store under its own rules. A lifetime purchase is a single payment and lasts for as long as the App is offered. You can restore an earlier purchase from the Plus screen. Everything else in the App stays free if you do not buy Plus.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer or tamper with the App, to use it for any unlawful purpose, or to try to defeat the checks that decide whether a workout counts toward Stridefall, for example by entering workouts that did not happen.
8. Third party services
Health Connect, Apple Health, Strava, Stridefall, Sign in with Apple, Google sign in and your app store are separate services with their own terms. We are not responsible for them. When you connect one, you also agree to its terms.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its design, its exercise library and videos, and our branding are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them only through the App.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Calculations such as estimated one rep maximums, records, volume and heart rate zones depend on what you enter and on your devices, and may be wrong.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law and the law where you live, we are not liable for injury, loss of data, or indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or AUD $50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms and will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
