Support

Need help with TrekLedger? Most questions are answered below. If yours is not, email us. We aim to reply within two business days.

Get in touch

You can reach us by email at support@mandooist.com.

Include your app version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and a short description of what happened, and we can usually sort it out in one reply. Contact support in Settings fills in the version for you.

On the trail

Does it work without reception?

Yes. Everything you record saves on your phone with no signal at all: marks, notes, photos, voice notes and their GPS stamps. Only the base map needs a connection; offline, your track and marks still draw on a plain background.

How is a mark placed on the map?

When you save a mark, note, photo or voice note, TrekLedger takes one GPS fix and stamps the entry with it, showing how accurate the fix was. It does not track you between entries, so it barely touches your battery. If a fix is poor or missing, open the entry and adjust or place the pin by hand.

Why are some photos suggested and not others?

Each day's page suggests the photos taken on that date, the ones near your route first. If a camera's clock was set wrong, fix it with Camera clock in Settings. If you shared only some photos with the app, use Choose more photos the app can see on the day's page.

Can I import my watch's GPX?

Yes, from the day or trip page. A file that covers several days is split by date onto each day's page. You can export a day or the whole trip as GPX too, with your marks as waypoints.

Where do the steps come from?

From Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, including a watch that syncs to your phone. Connect it in Settings or on a day's page, or type the number in by hand.

Your journal

Is my journal backed up?

Not automatically in this version: everything lives on your phone. Use Settings, Export all data now and then to save a zip of every trip, with photos, voice notes and GPX files, somewhere safe. Uninstalling TrekLedger removes your journal.

Can I try it before a trip?

Yes. Add the sample trip in Settings adds three made up days to explore, and you can delete it from its edit screen afterwards.
